William K’s Opens on the Waterfront
Water, water everywhere and yay! plenty ‘O drop to drink…and the good stuff too (sorry Sam et al). #odetothewaterfront
Maybe you wouldn’t expect a water front property to launch in the dead of winter, but then again why the eff not – this is Buffalo. This place is open year ’round. William K’s, the new Erie Basin Marina restaurant is operated by Molly Koessler (same as The Hatch) and named after her husband Billy – restaurateur (Acqua and formerly The Park Lane).
The views are stupendous, the bar magnificent and the food is off to a good start Friends tell us (Hat Tip – Charles/Rach). Sadly, we haven’t eaten there yet, but see photos above.
The restaurant is outlined by windows throughout giving patrons a great view of the lighthouse, the lake, and boats coming into the harbor. In and out is an urban chic decor. A patio surrounds that will offer the perfect place to hang in the warmer clims, plus we hear they’ll have a fire pit. The custom made wood fired pizza ovens will help keep you warm on the inside.
The menu is pretty swank by current waterfront standards. Todd Lesakowski formerly at August Bistro in Hamburg and The Lodge on Chippewa is manning the kitchen so we expect good stuff. Friends recommend the Sticky Toffee.

Wood Oven Pizza:
$16 like Parma, Vongole, Marrow, Frenchie and more.
Patsa (du jour), Griiled Leg of Lamb Filet – $32; Prime NY Strip Steak- $38; Pan Roasted Hake – $29; Fire Roasted Giannone Chicken – $45 …to name just a few.
