Ever think about trying belly dancing? Lots of people love it because it’s a form of self care that boosts confidence and burns calories at the same time.
This local studio welcomes dancers of all levels to give it a try. Whether you’re brand new to belly dancing, you’ve taken a hiatus (because covid), or you’re an experienced dancer looking to level up, there’s a class for you at Hayatidance.
The owner Hayati is a certified belly dance instructor, choreographer, and event producer who teaches fusion and traditional styles at her studio in Amherst. You can learn however you learn best whether that’s in person, online, or outdoors.

Belly Dance Drills for Beginners
September 7 – October 19
Tuesdays 7:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.
Absolute beginners who want to break down and practice all the foundational moves, this session is for you! Focus will be to ensure understanding and memorization to start building a common vocabulary for choreography class.
Fundamentals of Belly Dance
September 8 – October 20
Wednesdays 6:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.
This class is for absolute beginners + anyone who wants to become more familiar with the cultural and historical significance of the dance and the different belly dance styles.
Wild Wild West
September 8 – October 20
Wednesdays 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
These dance fusion choreography sessions are a great workout with a certified dance instructor and a fun time. All levels welcome and there’s an optional lasso spin section.
September 12 – October 24
Sundays 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
If you’re looking to get in performance shape at the end of the session, this is for you. You’ll learn sword balancing, strengthening exercises, combo drills, and technique for picture perfect form.
Summer of Sirens
August 21 & August 28
This hybrid show is happening in person on August 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Bandshell @ Raymond Klimek Veteran’s Park. Or you can tune in virtually on August 28 at 7:30 p.m. on their YouTube channel.
Music is Art
September 11 at 11:30 a.m. at Riverworks
Hayatidance is returning to Music is Art for the 10th year. They will once again wow you with a variety of props and different styles of international fusion dance.
